Privacy Policy

This website, yesonsand.org, is operated by Yes on Sand, Yes on S, sponsored by Oceanside Firefighters Association (the “Campaign”), the committee supporting Measure S on the Oceanside ballot on November 3, 2026. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you fill out the sign-up form on this site, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, email address, and, if you provide them, your ZIP code and mobile phone number. Providing a phone number is optional. If you check the text message opt-in box, we also record that you consented to receive texts, the wording you agreed to, and the date and time of your consent.

How we use it

We use your information only for Campaign purposes: to contact you about Measure S, volunteering, events, campaign updates, and the November 3, 2026 election, and, if you opted in, to send you text messages as described in the Terms & Conditions below. Contributions are processed by eFundraising Connections on its own website and under its own privacy policy; this site does not collect payment information.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own use.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law.

We use service providers (for example, our website host and our text messaging platform) solely to operate this site and deliver Campaign messages on our behalf. They may not use your information for any other purpose. We may disclose information if required by law, including campaign finance reporting obligations under California law.

Your choices

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set tracking cookies and does not run third-party advertising. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to operate and secure the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the page loads.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.

Terms & Conditions: Text Message Program

Program name: Yes on Measure S campaign texts, sent by Yes on Sand, Yes on S, sponsored by Oceanside Firefighters Association.

Program description: When you opt in on our website, you consent to receive text messages from the Campaign at the mobile number you provided, including messages sent by an autodialer. Messages may include campaign updates, volunteer opportunities, event reminders, election and voting information, and requests for donations. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of volunteering or donating.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive more messages in the weeks before the November 3, 2026 election.

Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your plan.

Opt out (STOP): Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one final confirmation text and no further messages unless you opt in again.

Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email info@yesonsand.org.

Supported carriers: Major U.S. carriers are supported. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: Your information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy above. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law.
